Mailing Vs. Shipping

Q: I’m going through the ordering process, and I don’t know if I want my postcards mailed or shipped. How does each option work?

A: There are actually 3 different options. We can mail your postcards to your customers, we can print, address them and ship them to you, or we can ship them to you without addresses printed on them.

1.       Mailing

If you select “Please mail my pieces directly to my customers”, we’ll address your postcards and take them to the post office as soon as we’ve finished printing them. That means that you don’t have to spend hours addressing your postcards or drop them off at the post office…they’ll leave our facility and go directly to your customers! For this option you’ll want to either provide us with a mailing list (usually in the form of a .txt file) or use our handy mailing list builder. This is a great choice if you want to save time and get your postcards sent out quickly.

2.       Print + Address + Mail

If you select “Please address my pieces for me, but I will mail them”, we’ll print your postcards, address them, package them up in a box, and send them to you via UPS. Note that for this option you’ll want to provide us with a .txt file mailing list or create one with our mailing list builder. This is a great option if you want to be able to mail the postcards yourself, but would prefer to receive them already addressed.

3.       Print + Ship

If you select “Please just print my pieces, no addressing, no mailing”, we simply print your postcards, package them up in a box, and send them to you via UPS. Once you receive them, it’s up to you to distribute and address them in whatever way you’d like to. This is a great option if you plan on handing out the postcards or sending them in envelopes (check out our post on :doppio, one of our customers that did exactly that).
