Very soon most eCommerce websites will no longer support old versions of Internet Explorer due to security concerns. If you use Internet Explorer version 10 or older, it’s important to update your browser. Here’s how to check your browser version, update Internet Explorer, or choose a new browser.
To check which version of Internet Explorer you’re using, open Internet Explorer and click either the gear icon or the help menu. Then click ‘About Internet Explorer’. You’ll see the version number displayed in the ‘About Internet Explorer’ pop up. If the version is 11 or newer, you’re all set to continue safely surfing the internet. If it’s version 10 or older, update or replace your browser.
To update Internet Explorer, go directly to Microsoft’s website and download the latest version. Once downloaded, open and run the file. Then simply follow the on-screen prompts to install your updated version of IE.
Can’t update Internet Explorer? If you currently use IE10 or earlier, you can make a few changes to your settings in order to browse the internet securely. Under ‘internet options’ in your browser, enable TLS 1.2. Check out this step-by-step video to see how.
If you’d like to replace Internet Explorer, you can download Google’s Chrome browser here. Chrome is considered one of the fastest and most secure internet browsers, so we highly recommend it. If you prefer Mozilla Firefox, you can download the latest version here. Whichever browser you choose, simply download and run the installation file.
